Lunar New Year( A Gloomy season)

Hello mates, Let me wish y'all a happy lunar new year.

The Year of the Ox to be frank is not an enjoyable one for many as they are worried about what lies ahead as the country expects a negative growth. People are worried about their rice bowls.

As expected, the hongbaos i recevied this season reduced as everybody is saving up to tide the economic downturn. Well, hongbaos don't really matter to me. It is the ambience of the celebration that makes me elated. My paternal family was the most lively as the adults gathered to play 21 and blackjack while the youngsters stayed in the room for their own activities.

This continued towards day 2 while the place was at my paternal youngest uncle house. He opened up hard liquors like Chivas, Vodka. To my surprise, my uncle ming was still sober after he drank a cocktail of the hard liquors and challenged my dad's aunt's husband. My granduncle was a " Jiu Gui" meaning that he is a hard drinker.

Well, i hope that the next CNY will be a happier and more exciting. I am signing off.

Overloaded

Hello mates, back for a quick update.

Chinese New Year is coming in 72 hours. Already bought my new year clothing and did the spring cleaning. I cannot wait to meet my maternal cousins as we only meet up once per year.

I must say SP is giving the students too much pressure by squeezing the projects and lab test together on next week. Immediately after the CNY, we have a PBIL demonstration and DE lab test. Just thinking of having demo and test right after the holidays dampens my mood.

However, 2 weeks after the CNY will be our final week of 2008/2009 academic calender which shows how fast time had flown. Year 2 will be even harder as warned by our lecturers.

I often asked myself, even i can get the best results, degrees and earn a lot, but will i be happy? I think it is best not to take things too seriously and learn to let go of certain things. I will be positive and happy.

Alright mates, i shall end here. CIAO

Missed Opportunities

I received a message from Hui Min this afternoon stating that the gathering on March will be cancelled.

Initially, i was disappointed as i had been waiting to gather with the clique for many months. I missed some because of projects or time constraints. So i guessed this will just be another missed opportunity.

But i do hope to gather with some of them including my buddy Leonard to do some catching up soon.

Happy Brithday Daddy!!!!!

My dad just turned 48 today.

He is a great person in my heart and has always been my role model. He taught me the importance of discipline and how the world works. Most of all, he is very patient with me.

But when i reflect on how rebellious and rude i am when i was a kid and giving my dad a lot of trouble, it makes me meltdown. Sorry for the problems i gave you during my adolescent years. I will always be filial to you and mum and take your advices.

Yesterday, i decided to get my dad a new wallet. After school, i trained down to Tampines mall's Isetan to buy a wallet from Pierre Cardin. It does cost a bomb but when i figured that my dad is willing to spend a lot to give me what i want, i should give him this wallet from my heart and not be calculative.

Well folks, i shall end here. Check back soon.

Love you Daddy.:)))

Final Leg

Hello folks, I am back for an update.

The past couple of weeks had been a busy one. There are many projects to be completed by week 17 of the 08/09 calender for year 1.

Firstly, my PEEE practical lecturer have given us until the end of the academic calender to design, simulate and construct a LPF/HPF circuit. It may seem easy but actually a lot of time is needed to make sure that the circuit function normally and produce the correct results as expected. My head is cracking up as i worked through the Multisim. What's more, next Wednesday is my presentation!!

In a blink an of eye, i am going to year 2 soon. I recall that during my secondary school years people said that " Polylife has no stress and is very relaxed". Well, from my experience and based on the work that i was assigned, it is anything BUT relaxed.

The final exams are coming soon and is 50% of the overall. I have to do my best to pull my grades up in this exam.

To my SP classmates, best wishes to y'all for the final exams.

I shall end here, check back soon. Good day:)

Happy 2009

Hello folks, First, let me wish y'all a Happy and a prosperous New Year.

I hope that this year will be a better year for me as i will be taking my final year 1 exams 2 weeks after the CNY holidays. Year 2 is going to be my ITP(Industrial Training Programme) and more difficult modules are coming my way.

Currently, i have 2 major projects at hand and one particular PEEE project with require us to work in groups of 2 and source out ways and means to build the circuit and explain the terms and no help will be given, resembling the working world. What's more, Year 2 is coming soon and the final exam is 50% and i must clear my modules with fairly decent points.

Lastly, I don't follow in the "New Year Revolution" as i know very well that i cannot keep them.

Once more, I wish all my MJR teachers, SP lecturers, SP friends and most important, my secondary school friends A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
