Marley & Me

Hello everybody.

I caught Marley and me with Leonard today. The show was touching to say the least. A newly-wed young couple Jen and John( Jennifer Aniston & Owen Wilson) bought a Labrador retriever to compensate as their children. Things started to get messy as the dog grew up and becomes hyperactive. In the end, the dog have to be put asleep due to internal injury and the saddening part was the veterinarian injecting the chemical into the tube. The show ends with a reflection from John.

Ate Macdonald after the show where we did some catching up on our lives. We left around 8 plus and hope to meet up again in the near future.

Holiday Mode

Finally the exams are over.

Today's PEEE paper was damn difficult. When i opened up the paper during the 10 min reading time. My mind was like" What the hell is this bullshit". The paper was 85% different from the past year papers. However, i have given my best shot at this and hope to score at least a C.

Holiday begins RIGHT NOW. I am catching a movie tomorrow.

Last paper

12 more hours to go before my final paper. I have been waiting for this day for a while now.

After my exams, i am meeting up with Leonard on Friday for lunch and do some catching up. I maybe catching a movie prior to this.

7 weeks is quite a long holiday..... I will apply for a license within this period and hope i can be qualified to drive this year. I had been dying to get into the driver's seat since i was a kid. I am sure to make use of this opportunity to learn the skills well.

Untitled

Review:

Ever since his landmark debut, Illmatic, expectations of Nas was high and many critics and fans lauded his future albums as mediocre compared to Illmatic.

When i bumped this album, Untitled. Honestly speaking, i think it is his best effort in the 2000s. The album is very political and addresses the on-going issue of USA and being introspective along the way with tracks like America and Testify. His lyrical ability still ranks as one of the greatest of all time. To Nas' fans, this is indeed the album to add to your collection.

Friendship Ring

Next Friday will be my official commencement of the 7-week holiday.

There are a lot of people that i wanna meet up with.

Firstly, my best friend/buddy Leonard which i have not met for few months. I know that you are feeling stressed out recently as JC's workload is just too much, so find one day to hang out at the movies to relax your mind. I am a good listener and you can speak to me when you are feeling down.

Secondly, with Hui Min's clique. I missed quite a few gatherings with them due to my recent examinations.

Lastly, Zi jie & Mark which i had been waiting for a long time to gather with them and i've missed some opportunities due to time constraints.

One more paper(Hang in there)

Today's maths paper was relatively easy. I am confident of getting good marks for Section A. As for Section C, it was manageable.

One more tutorial class tomorrow for PEEE and next Thursday will be the last paper.

Patiently waiting

Hello everybody. A quick update.

Yesterday's DE paper was quite a shocker, especially Section C. Overall, the paper was manageable and i am somehow confident that i can pull through this module.

Tomorrow will be the Maths paper. This is the paper that i practiced the hardest for and i will try my very best to get full marks for section A.

Next Thursday will be the final PEEE paper.

These are the things i wanna do during my 7-week holiday:

1. Apply for a Class 3 license
   
2. Meet up with my secondary school pals(miss y'all man).

Hip-Hop Maniac

I have collected many hip-hop albums throughout the year 2008. These are the classics. There are 2 more albums coming that i ordered which is The Blueprint & Ready To Die. I am so into Hip-Hop as mainstream songs are not "attractive enough" for me.

Most of my albums come with the " Parental Advisory" tag. I just love the beats that makes me wanna bob my head every time i hear it. To any Hip-Hop lovers out there, these are the albums that you should look out for. As for the song playing above, it is from this album, All Eyez On Me.

The Hip-hop albums that are displayed here are "old school" rap except for The Blueprint. I prefer old school East Coast-West Coast Hip-Hop as the lyrical content were at its most honest & the beats are hot. Today's Hip-Hop is "weakened" in my opinion. Many rap stars have ventured into the mainstream and making "pop rap".


Here is the list of my top 5 rappers: 1st: 2Pac, 2nd: Notorious B.I.G, 3rd: Nas, 4th: Jay-Z, 5th: Eminem. These are the legends in my mind.

Ready For War

Today is the final day of the academic calender excluding the sessional exam week.

I am almost finished with the preparations but i still need to do more work in order to secure the formulas and skills.

I am going back to school tomorrow with my clique to revise on the year's work as all of us wanted to score well in the final 35% of the core modules. I am focusing on DE as i have not been doing well throughout the year and must give in 150% for this final exam.

Lastly, i am thanking my DE and Maths lecturers for their patience and hard work in helping me. I sure hope to work with them again.

Mugging week

Hello everybody. Back for a short one.

This week is the study week.....well not really as i have one more lab test before my final exams.

The attendance these couple of days was less-than-half of the total class population. Many prefer staying in the comfort of their own home for their revision. Well, home is the best place to study in my opinion as there is no stress and the mind is relax.

As for the revision, i realized that the questions are "recycled" but i do hope that we are not the unlucky batch to get difficult long questions for the final sections.

This Thursday is also the day where i can finally lift the IE project weight off my chest. I have been working painstakingly with Arif to get our connections and designs right. Shout out/Thanks to Arif & Shafie for their help and patience.

I shall end here.

Self-Centered/Selfish Prick

I am writing this post because i had been sealing this frustration in me for a VERY long period of time.

I am disgusted with the way my brother treats people around him.

Our family is going to visit my dad's friend tomorrow. We met during the China Trip where we got along very well and a friendship is made. But during one night where we retreated into our hotel rooms. My brother made disparaging comments about "somebody" around the same age as him was immature and ******. His derogatory attitude made me sick.

During the 1st day of CNY, when my dad announced that we are going to their house for lunch tomorrow, he immediately refused the offer saying that he does not wanna see that "somebody" and gave that screwed up face which made me puke( figuratively) .

I am just wondering, " Why do he always loved to compare himself to other people? Thinking that he is the cleverest and "MATURE". Looking down on people who cannot match his level. Acting like a gangster with the way he speaks and his body language. Well, if i can think of anything else, i will write them down here.

I am ashamed to have a brother like this. In my eyes and terms of manners, he will always be a steaming pile of manure. Asshole, ya feel me?

Cleared Obstacles

Finally, my TCS proposal has been submitted to the lecturer. I recalled having a difficult time to get my points right and my ideas were rejected numerous times as the lecturer was unconvinced of my suggested pros & cons.

Today is also the last TCS lesson.

I remembered the 1st day of TCS ( Teamwork Communications Skill) where we need to do presentations once per week. Many including myself were reluctant to speak in front of the class. But as the weeks gone by, the class were more confident with their presentation ability. Last year's IDEA/TCS conceptual major presentation required us to utilize the skills taught. The outcome was very good.

As for semester 2, much of the time was dedicated to teaching us how to write effective and convincing proposals as we would need this skill when we engineers venture out to the working society.

I sincerely thank my TCS lecturer that had guided me through the whole process and hope to work with her again in Year 2 when we will be taking Critical Reasoning module. Last but not least, my CD lecturer too for making the class lively and fun.

The Final Push

Hello everybody. I am back for an update.


Today marks official end of my Character Development module and it ended on a happy note.

Throughout the module we had fun and laughter with the presentations. We also did voluntary work outside where we have to source out the volunteer organizations by ourselves. Luckily my friend Shafie managed to find the T-Net Sports Fiesta as many volunteering activities are snapped up during the holiday season.

The lecturer that taught us is very friendly and i appreciate her guidance and this module teaches us to be independent and enforces SP-CORE values. She also teaches engineering modules and i hope she can teach me again in Year 2.

Well, 2 more weeks to go before the final sessional exams and the lecturers are reviewing everything being taught from day 1 of poly. I will give in everything i have and make sure i get a "B" grade for my engineering maths which i love the most.
